Although my sweet little mischief boy was up until about 11 PM tonight I pushed through and posted to all 4 of my main blogs! Woot WOOT! Amy and I have set some goals this week, and by gum I’m sticking to them.
Michael is a naughty little monkey that climbs his way into every single thing he can. Plus we think his is FINALLY teething (although nothing has broken through yet). And this being his birthday and all… I’m actually writing this about 10 minutes from the time he was actually born. I’ll dedicate my post to my naughty little angel child Michael.
Michael loves getting into everything, especially electronics (who can blame him on that count in our house). He also LOVES books. I can’t remember if Maddie was as into books as he is, but when I pull out a bunch of toys from the toy box, the first thing he goes to is the books. I have now placed a few in his crib so when he wakes up he’s got something to do. He also loves balls. He could care less about animals (except for Holly of course, whom he adores!). It’s so funny how different that is from Maddie… she who could watch the whole movie of Lion King at 8 months old.
He also loves to color. Just try and pry a marker from his hand once he’s got a hold of it. It’s darn near impossible. He is generally very well mannered though, and is a completely joy to be around. Very mellow, but VERY curious about everything.
It is crazy how it is with your second child. With Maddie I remember being so excited for her to turn one so I can turn her forward facing in her car seat. I’m not so anxious about it this time. Maybe half of it is because he’s so tiny, and the other half being that the “recommendations” have changed anyway. It’s also nice that he can see his sister, cause she loves to play with him in the car. So he’s going to be rear facing for quite a while longer I predict. Then we’ll move him to Maddie’s old carseat. Speaking of Maddie, he LOVES his sister so much. Even though sometimes she can be too rough with him, he still adores her and would follow her around the house all day if I’d let him.
So Happy Birthday little Michael! You have truly completed our family!
Happy birthday to Michael! He looks like he is quite the good little climber. I can’t believe he’s already one!
Happy Birthday to your active, beautiful, sweet boy! Sending our love.
